By Default GSuite turn off the ability for thirst party companies to connect to your GSuite. As such this will need to be allowed by your GSuite Administrator.
This is called by Google "Allow less secure apps" whilst you may consider that you may be doing something wrong and exposing a security risk, this is quite safe to turn on. As effectively you are enabling the ability for Google to accept humble username and password for authentication to GSuite.
It is just good practice to turn things off that you are not needing and use high more secure methods of authentication that don't rely on username and password ie OAUTH. Currently, Actionstep only supports Username and Password authentication with Actionstep, but OAUTH authentication is in a pending release.
Actionstep is very secure and for email to be sent by GSuite from Actionstep this will need to be enabled.
